This winter, let's stay in and cook up a storm in support of refugees.

To take part all you need to do is make a meal at home (preferably delicious and nutritious!) and to donate some of what you might have otherwise spent out, to the Refugee Community Kitchen.

Once having done that, share a photo of your gorgeous grub on Instagram, tagging @EatInToHelpOut and nominating three friends to do the same. 

We understand these are tough times for all, so whatever you can donate is amazing, no matter how much.

Why we're doing this

We're doing this in support of the brilliant Refugee Community Kitchen who are working hard to provide healthy meals to as many displaced people as they can in the UK and France.

Speaking to their founder, we found out that they need £6,300 every week to serve 10,000 meals, so we've set our target to exactly that and hope that we can stretch it to a whole month if we surpass £6,300 (a whole month would be 44,000 meals!)

If you give just £6, you'll be providing over 9 whole meals!

We all know that food brings people together, and we believe now it can do so more than ever. So get cooking, with family and friends, and let's really show that in the UK we choose love and stand with refugees.

Refugee Community Kitchen – Serving food with dignity

Refugee Community Kitchen serves hot, nourishing meals to displaced people in the UK and France. Since 2015 they have provided over 2.9 million meals with a team of over 18,000 volunteers.

“We give people more than a hot meal, we give them a place to gather and connect. Somewhere to recreate a community - providing space for medical and legal services, safeguarding groups and other support.”

With Covid-19 having affected everything they do, they need everyone's help more than ever! That's what caused us to come up with this idea, and that's why we need you 🙌
