Retina UK is the only UK charity dedicated solely to working for people affected by inherited sight loss. We fund medical research to accelerate the search for treatments for the future, and provide information and support to help people lead better lives today.

Story

On Septermber 26th 2009, some of the world's finest athletes will gather for the Run to the Beat Half Marathon in London. A long way behind them will be Carl, Ed, Marek and Marcin.
Our time isn't that important however, what really matters is that we're running to raise money for The British Retinitis Pigmentosa Society.

Retinitis Pigmentosa RP is a hereditary disease of the eye that leads to deterioration of vision and blindness. The rate at which vision deteriorates is variable but is generally very slow with changes occurring over years rather than months. In approximately half of all cases (50 to 60%) there are other family members with RP.RP affects approximately 1 in 3,000 to 4,000 people.

This is a cause close to Ed's heart as his grandfather has been left completely blind by the condition.

Please donate what you can to our cause, evey little helps.

Thanks!                          - The A Team -
