I am raising money in aid of a Malawi Education Initiative which aims to enhance the educational opportunities in the Zomba district of Malawi. I will be going there to help in 2015, if I have raised the money in time, fingers crossed. I am doing this as I have always wanted to help the poor or do anything I can to help anyone in a more difficult situation than me. I have seen the school in videos from past students taking part in this project. It may be one of the best schools in Malawi but it is still very basic and could be improved with our help. They did not have mosquito nets until last year, when AGS students raised enough money to give all of them mosquito nets. We will be devising our own project closer to the time of the trip, so we can use the money we raise for whatever they really need at the time, as well as bringing them back to England for a week.

I will be doing lots of things throughout the next 2 years to raise money. This will include helping people with lots of odd jobs whenever I can. I will also be doing a sponsored row in a few months time, which will hopefully raise a big bulk of the money.
