My husband Ciaran was diagnosed with bowel cancer in April of last year. This was devastating news for us. Thankfully he was able to have surgery to remove part of his bowel and has just undergone 6 months of chemotherapy. He is now on his way to recovery. It is only when you are in our position that you realise what charities are there to help you. The charity that helped us is Cancer Fund For Children.  It arrived at our house a couple of days before Christmas with bags of presents for our daughters. We were also invited down to their purpose built therapeutic centre outside Newcastle.  While we were there both myself Ciaran and the children were able to relax and enjoy some proper quality family time away from real life. This was a much needed break for the 4 of us. So now we think it's our turn to do something for them. So we are having a night of music in Lislea Community centre on Saturday 18th March. Music is by the brilliantgroup Fainne. So come along and help us support this brilliant charity. Tickets are £ 10 each. Thank you in advance.
