Story
On Sunday 5th September I managed to complete the crossing, battling over in a time of 2 hours 2 minutes. It would now be brilliant to now reach the target total!
'This September 2010 I'll be attempting to set the world record for a wake-board crossing of the English Channel. -A grueling 21mile journey over sea, towed by a boat, across the busiest shipping lane in the world.'
I'm hoping to raise as much money as possible for Hope and Homes for Children. I was particularly interested in supporting this charity after hearing an inspiring talk from the founder.
Hope and Homes work with children, their families and communities across Central and Eastern Europe and Africa, to ensure that children grow up in an environment where they have the opportunity to fulfil their potential. They move children out of institutions into family-based care, help keep together families at risk of breakdown due to the pressures of poverty, disease or conflict, and work to prevent child abandonment.'
All donations will go to a brilliant cause and any amount would be so much appreciated.
Please note that in an instance of cancellation due to weather, or failure of the attempt for other reasons, all donations already given will go to Hope and Homes for Children.
