We Raising Prostate Health Awareness to Funding PSA Blood Tests for Men

Story

As of two weeks ago my father-in-law received the positive news that he is clear of cancer. This is thanks to an easy test and the great programs set in place by the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust.

A couple years back the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust arranged free tests out of a local pub. After a fairly positive result they recommended another test in two years. This test showed less positive results. A couple more tests and scans later Ian was told he had cancer.

The cancer was caught early and it hadn't spread. Within just a few weeks the surgery was successful and the cancer was removed. If the cancer was further along or had spread at all due its discovery being delayed this news could have been significantly worse.

As most people know with everything cancer the earlier you catch it the better your chances are. With something as simple as a blood test cancer can be caught early.

Any man over the age of 50 can and needs to get their PSA tested. I beg all those who are applicable to contact your GP for these tests. Also all those who are not applicable or under 50  I beg you all to pester the men in your life over the age of 50 until they get there PSA tested. The sooner these tests happen the better the chances are.
