Fundraising for Southend-on-Sea YMCA
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This is my second year decorating my bungalow in Christmas lights and lasers in aid of raising money for YMCA Southend. Below is a brief description of what the YMCA does:
WHO WE ARE
Southend YMCA is a leading children and young peoples charity. We work in Southend, Thurrock, other parts of Essex and the Thames Gateway supporting some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people.
No child or young person should have to face life's difficulties alone and we support a wide range of young people some of whom may be experiencing extremely traumatic challenges such as homelessness, domestic violence, abuse, poverty, unemployment or mental health problems.
We have been operating for the past 20 years and have worked with tens of thousands of young people helping them to become happy, fulfilled adults who can belong, contribute and thrive in society.
WHAT WE DO
Southend YMCA offers support, guidance, education, housing, training and recreational activities for children and young people. Our multi-disciplinary staff team are committed to helping young people belong, contribute and thrive as independent citizens in the community.
We are constantly developing and creating new projects for and with young people to ensure we meet their needs and aspirations.
The projects we deliver will fit within one of our on-going delivery areas.
