For my birthday there is no better way to feel connected to my brother - who is so missed by us all, by giving back & helping others so early  this year, I started my own walking challenge inspired by my friend Jeni who is also 50. 

For 19 weeks I have walked 26 miles making a total of 500 miles. On my walks I would often sing "I'm awful shifty for a lady of fifty" which is a remix version of "i'm awful shifty for a man of fifty"  This would make me think of Michael, as he too loved to mix up words, loved to walk and loved being outdoors.  Many times I would smile thinking of his and also shed a tear, wondering what he would think of his little sis turning 50.

Michael left us on 4th of July 2018, aged only 52, after a very short battle with colon and liver cancer. Myton hospice cared for him and the family in such a comforting way, ensuring that his passing was as peaceful. 

We shall be forever grateful & from that moment on pledge to support other families. to be able to have gentle end of life care. 

Rather than getting birthday cards or gifts, I would love for my loved ones to give to Myton instead. and continue supporting
