Story
I managed to finish my non-marathon in 3h22, a personal record!
The non-marathon is finished but it's not too late to donate money.

Hello!
It's me, Eitan. Regardless of your connection to me, Liora or our family, you have made it to my fundraising page. Congratulations!
I signed up to run the Jerusalem Marathon 2013 in memory of my incredible sister Liora, whom we lost on 29th August 2011.
I got very excited about training. I announced it on Facebook and lots of people 'liked' it, which made me happy. I made a playlist of crazy songs on my iPod. I went to a specialist running shop, ran on their fancy treadmill and was given professional advice to buy their most expensive pair of trainers. I drank energy drinks and ate bow-tie noodles. I even went running sometimes! I ran a total of 60km in Regents Park. I lost my phone, my dignity and a toenail and sweated a lot.
Due to a combination of factors, it is no longer practically feasible for me to run the Marathon. I have therefore been trying to think of something I am more capable of achieving in the near future. Eventually it came to me. The answer, like many answers in life, was staring at me in the face:
Not running the marathon
I have therefore decided to not run the Jerusalem Marathon in memory of Liora, to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. This is a wonderful charity which provides free end of life care and support to terminally ill patients. Their tremendously devoted and sensitive nurses do their best to minimise suffering and stress and maximise comfort and peace in a person's final few days - for them and their family.
We are therefore donating money not only in Liora's memory, but also to make a significantly positive impact on the lives of people with the same unfortunate fate as hers.
Thank you!
