As you may be aware, every year I try to participate in an event to raise some money for Charity.  This year, I have a "special" birthday coming up at the end of the year so I had the bright idea that I should push myself a bit further before my legs pack up on me!.  I have decided to (attempt) to run both the Great North Run on September 13th and the Oxford Half Marathon on 11th October.  *Gulp* Now running 2 half marathons in a month may not seem like a big challenge for some of you sporty folk but to me it is HUGE.  Last year after the Great North Run I didn't manage to run further than 6 miles until February.  It is a rather daunting prospect for me to do it all again 4 weeks later.  Please, please show your support by getting your pennies out.  Any donation is very greatly received and will keep me going when I am feeling broken!.

I have chosen to run for Adoption UK to support the fantastic work they do providing support, awareness and understanding for those parenting or supporting children who cannot live with their birth parents.
