Story

Sharon was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in January 2021. A few months later it was realised that she had stage 4, having spread to other areas. Sharon remained positive, encouraged by various treatment options that were available, that said we took every opportunity to spend as much time together as a family and with friends.

Although encouraged by the news that the treatment was working, in late 2021 Sharon's symptoms increased and unfortunately progressed and in early 2022 they seemed unrelated to the cancer or its associated treatments. Sadly in May, Sharon was subsequently diagnosed with Stage 4 Motor Neurone Disease.

Around this time we had reached out to KEMP Hospice, who could not have been more helpful; visiting Sharon at home and providing essential equipment  and support to enable and enhance her quality of life. Additionally, KEMP invited her to join them for sessions at the hospice which she loved.

Sharon - Wife, Daughter, Sister, Step-Mum, Aunty, Cousin, Friend, Colleague, loved by everyone who knew her. Sharon was an absolute blessing, a truly beautiful person, compassionate and empathetic. She had a love of life with an amazing sense of humour.

Sharon will be sadly missed by us all.

As a huge thank you to KEMP hospice, we would like to use this page to raise valuable funds and awareness to help KEMP and their amazing team to continue to support families like ours.
