Fundraising for Friends of Bedelsford
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Dear All, I am have really good friend called Deborah whose daughter Sophie is in Ben’s class. Deborah has a son Matthew as well. Matthew is 14 and has cerebral palsy. He is in a wheelchair and is unable to sit unaided, stand, walk, talk, feed himself or undertake any personal tasks himself. He attends , a special needs school located in , . He loves and really enjoys being with his friends and the caring dedicated staff. Just like mainstream schools Bedelsford has to undertake regular fundraising activities for equipment, but unlike mainstream schools the equipment required is for a much greater range of essential tasks to enable them to enjoy any opportunities that come close to mainstream activities. Equipment such as communication aids, outdoor play equipment, specialist music and cookery equipment. Any assistance with the purchase of these items is always hugely welcomed. I have decided to take part in the Sprint Distance Triathlon Race Thames Turbo (425m swim, 21km cycle, and 5km Run) to be held on 3rd May. I understand that things are tight for a lot of people and that this is sponsorship time of the year for everyone but I would truly welcome sponsorship of any amount from anyone. I have also put a form outside the classroom for anyone who feels able to donate the old fashioned way! Thank you all for taking the time to read this and if any of you feel like you would like to watch me in a little pain then come and cheer on the day. Thank You Elle
