We help people trapped by unemployment to transform their future

Story

I will be climbing (or attempting to climb) Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania - at 5895m it is the highest peak in Africa and the highest free standing mountain in the world!

I am reliably informed by others that it is one of the toughest things I will ever do - coupled with an old and persistent ankle injury - I hope you agree it will be a 'challenge' in the true meaning of the word and worth some of your time and money sponsoring.

I know you all already pay a great deal towards charities and sponsoring friends, family, colleagues etc but even if you can spare the smallest of change, it will go very far in supporting Tomorrow's People's work in turning around the lives of disadvantaged young people.

I have paid all of the trip costs myself, so every penny you donate will absolutely go directly to this great cause!!

A bit more on the Tomorrow's People....

Tomorrow’s People is an employment charity that works with those facing multiple barriers to employment and equips them with the skills and confidence they need to get and keep a job. The charity’s vision is to break the cycle of unemployment and dependency in deprived communities throughout the UK. Tomorrow’s People has been changing lives for 30 years and has helped over 475,000 people on their journey into work since it was set up in 1984.

Tomorrow's People is dedicated to breaking the cycle of unemployment and dependency in deprived communities throughout the UK. By running ground-breaking programmes that focus on the individual, Tomorrow’s People helps the most disadvantaged
and hardest to reach people transform their lives through work.

Working with young people at risk of falling out of the education system, those with criminal convictions, ex-gang members, carers and care-leavers, people with health problems and those with poor confidence and self-esteem, trained advisers help adults and young people reach their potential, positively
impacting not only the individual but family members, peer groups and local communities.

For every £1 Tomorrow’s People invests in a programme, at least £4.15 is returned to society in increased taxes and reduced health, housing and criminal justice costs.
