Lands End to John O'Groats · 28 May 2015

Our humanitarian work, clearing landmines and other debris of war, creates safe & secure environments in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. We save lives and lift local families out of poverty by creating jobs for deminers and we prepare the way for development and long term stability.

Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

On 28th May  and at the tender age of 63 I'm going to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats. And two things I won't have to worry about are land mines and unexploded bombs! Everything else (hills, sore bum, more hills, rain etc) but not mines or bombs. Not everyone else in the world is so lucky, which is where The HALO Trust come in. This charity is dedicated to "Getting mines out of the ground, for good" and do dangerous but essential work making many parts of the world a safer place for families to live, work and play.

I do have a personal interest, my son is one of their operators currently working in Laos, so if you could help this amazing charity I would be very grateful. Any donation, big or small will help.

I will be doing a blog of the 10 days,  the link is https://lejogjune2015.wordpress.com/
