Story
My school organises this event every year. Walking 50 miles through the night is a real test of physical and mental endurance and not everyone makes it! We start in Brighton at midday on Wednesday June 26th and walk back to Godalming, in Surrey, arriving the next morning.
I want to do it for the charity Diabetes UK. My brother Oliver has Type 1 Diabetes. The charity supports people with diabetes as well as funding medical research - things like insulin pumps that deliver tiny doses of insulin continuously rather than the need for four injections a day.
I would be so pleased if you could sponsor me. I'm aiming to get 50 sponsors, so any amount, however small, would be much appreciated. You can make a donation through this website before the walk. But for those who would prefer to sponsor me per mile (and I'm worried about the blisters too!) you can wait until I've completed the walk. I will update my Justgiving page with my final distance and donations can be made any time. Thank you.
Donating through JustGiving is simple and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity which is more efficient and less costly for them.
