Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I go on holiday every year to the Lake District with my family and always choose a new mountain (sometimes two!) to climb while we’re there.

One of my favourites it’s Catbells. But I’ve climbed a lot of others too! I really like scrambling and don’t mind steep bits!

This year I plan to summit England’s highest mountain - Scafell Pike. It’s going to be really hard but I’m sure I can do it.

And I thought it would be nice to raise some money for children that can’t climb mountains like me but love to do outdoorsy things.

Riding is my favourite thing in the world so I thought it would be great to raise money for a charity that helps get people less able than me into it. I know how happy it makes me, so I want it to make other people happy too. It’s the best!

So I’m going to walk Scafell Pike and ask people to sponsor me for Mid Sussex RDA, to help them help other people by introducing them to horses.

About the charity

Mid Sussex RDA is part of the wider national charity Riding for the Disabled. Our group is based at Chestnuts Riding School, Pyecombe and offers weekly horse riding sessions to 35 adults and children with physical, cognitive and social disorders. Our group is run by a dedicated team of volunteers, we rely on fundraising, grants and legacies to cover our annual running costs in order to provide the huge physical and emotional benefits that the connection with horses brings to our riders.
