Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
All my life I have loved having long hair. Even a fringe trim has been a major event to be delayed and avoided until the last possible moment!
My Australian Aunt, who has a 9 year old daughter like me, is dying of cancer. As you can imagine we are all very sad. One of the things that my Aunt had always wanted to do with her daughter was to go and visit Ayers Rock, and through an amazing charity, that dream came true a few weeks ago.
I felt very moved by the generosity of everyone who had donated to the charity to make my Aunt's dream come true. It inspired me to do something to support a breast cancer charity and after doing my research I have chosen Breast Cancer Care here in the UK. Losing something as dear to me as my beautiful long hair felt like the most appropriate thing I could do. I feel rather daunted about shaving my head I must admit, but am very determined to see it through. I will also donate the hair that is cut off to another charity that makes wigs for kids with cancer.
I am hoping to raise at least £3,000 for Breast Cancer Care so that other families and cancer sufferers can be supported in every way possible.
