At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hi Everyone :)

I've decided to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society by (hopefully!!) completing the Dodentocht March (more commonly known as the Death March) in Bornem, Belgium. It is a 100km march which is to be completed in a maximum of 24 hours. I chose Alzheimer's Society as my step-dad was recently diagnosed with it, and as I live quite far away from him it isn't always easy to be around to support. At the moment my mum is his main care-giver and I know things aren't always too easy for her, but hopefully the Alzheimer's Society can be there to help and support both her and my step-dad.

SO please, give generously to such a brilliant charity, as you never know when you might have to rely on the support of others.

I will be updating my page with photos from training, and other walks I do, and also of the Dodentocht march one I've completed it :)
