Story
Last September, our beloved friend Emma lost her long battle with blood cancer and the world was deprived of a truly exceptional, compassionate and beautiful person. Emma was and remains a constant inspiration - not just through her many talents, infectious positivity and pure loveliness - but through her unwavering determination and strength.
Before Emma was diagnosed, she loved to go for long runs through the Lincolnshire countryside where we grew up. Now Emma has inspired us to take on the challenge of the Hackney Half Marathon.
Most of us have barely managed a 5k and are currently finding the night-time
ice-cold training jogs pretty traumatising 😱 BUT we know how proud Emma would be of our efforts and we are 100% motivated to raise some money for the absolutely AMAZING charity Teenage Cancer Trust, which supported her and her family through the most difficult times. ❤️In the words of Emma’s sister Mairi, TCT “makes the unbearable bearable” so anything you can donate at all to this fantastic charity by sponsoring us will ensure that other young people suffering with serious illness receive the same incredible support so valued by Emma.
We will be running the Hackney Half in memory of Em on 20 May and we have all pledged to raise £300 each - a total target of £1500.00. Please give anything you can and wish us luck!!!
💖 THANK YOU AND ALL THA LOVE 💖
