Aspire Channel Swim 2014 · 1 December 2014 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.

Channel swim now completed !!   Thank you so much for everyone's donations and support it really inspired me on to complete this.

Over the last 12 weeks I have swam 22 miles across the English Channel (in the comfort of a local swimming pool!) to raise money for people who have been paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury.

I did this challenge a few years ago and loved not only the personal fitness benefit I got but also delighted to raise funds for this great charity.   For those that know me, you will know that fitness and early morning swims before work will be a challenge for me!

Every eight hours someone is paralysed by Spinal Cord Injury. It can happen to anyone at any time, and there is currently no cure. Every pound that I raise means that Aspire can provide practical help to a spinal injured person, allowing them to live a more independent life, so please donate as much as you can and help make a difference.
