We raise funds for veterinary treatment to improve care of street dogs in Sri Lanka

Story

For the past 3 months I've been training in wind, rain and rarely (thanks Liverpool) sun to raise money for an AMAZING CAUSE!

WeCare Worldwide vaccinate, neuter and treat the street dogs of Sri Lanka, dogs with no owners and no other means of veterinary care.
They do this free of charge, relying on veterinary volunteers and kind donations to provide the treatment these animals desperately need!

Their current aims are to neuter 70% of street dogs in the southern part of the island, and build Sri Lanka's first animal hospital, a project which is estimated to cost £30,000

I will be flying out to volunteer as a qualified vet in November, but none of the hard working vets out there could do any of their work without medical equipment and supplies!

Please help me to raise money for them, so they can continue to do their amazing work!

"WECare are going to save the world, one animal at a time!" Janey Lowes, very optimistic founding member of WECare Worldwide. We dream of providing healthcare for all animals in desperate need of help around the world. Yes, we know it's a big dream, but anything is possible when we all come together! WECare Worldwide is an organisation set up by Westway Veterinary Group, the largest veterinary practice in the North of England. Ultimately, WECare Worldwide plan to extend veterinary services around the globe but initially will be concentrating on tacking the issues with the street dog population in Sri Lanka. It is estimated that there are up to 3 million street dogs in Sri Lanka. WECare Worldwide are in the process of carrying out a 5 year plan in which we will look to help eliminate rabies in the country and also reduce the numbers of unwanted street dogs. We will also treat any sick or injured street dogs.
