Pawprints Dog Rescue takes in dogs which have been picked up by local Dog Wardens, and which would have otherwise been euthanased following their statutory 7 days in local authority care. It also arranges foster care or new homes for dogs whose owners facing hospitalisation or terminal illness. Pawprints neuter, vaccinate and provide medical treatment for the dogs before rehoming them.

Story

I just wanted to thank everyone for visiting this page in memory of my partner, Ellie who sadly passed away in September.

In her own words “we can all agree 2020 was shit” after her diagnosis of bladder cancer.

...2021 was supposed to offer some light at the end of the tunnel for Ellie, the start of recovery and a 30th birthday, but that didn't all go to plan…

Along Ellie’s journey she was never looking for sympathy, appreciated the positivity of those supporting her, and amazingly, always had a smile on her face.

Given Ellie’s inability to walk past a dog without introducing herself, let’s make the best of this terrible situation by raising some money for Pawprints. This is the charity that our dog Flick came from, to her new forever home here at Sunnydale.

From from the Pawprints website:

We are only able to continue saving dogs if we can pay for their accommodation and medical treatment before they go to a new home.”

You can see the dogs that need a home here: https://pawprintsdogrescue.org/current-dogs/.

Any donations in memory of Ellie would be greatly appreciated.
