We are supporting this children's charity because they help children who have been affected by the Chernobyl nuclear accident in 1986. In the summer, when the dust causes radiation levels to rise, it is important for as many children as possible to leave their contaminated homeland for a few weeks of fresh air and clean food. The Chernobyl Children's Project (UK) brings around 300 children to Britain for a recuperative holiday. Many of the children brought to the Uk are in remission from leukaemia and cancer. They rely on charitable donations to fund these much needed trips to UK.
