Diabetes UK is the charity leading the fight against the UK's devastating and fastest growing health crisis, working to create a world where diabetes can do no harm. It’s a fight that involves all of us – sharing knowledge and taking diabetes on together. Join us.

Story

Thanks for looking at my Diabetes UK JustGiving page.

I expect you know that I've been diabetic since I was young. Over forty years in fact. Perhaps all that sensible eating over the years has kept me (reasonably) young and healthy:)

It's not like that for everyone, though, and diabetes is a condition that increasing numbers of us have to live with. If not properly controlled, it can be life-threatening. If not properly understood, it can be debilitating. If not properly researched, the quality of life of diabetics and those closest to them will not improve.

I drive across the Severn Bridge a lot. The chance to walk across it -- all the way to Wales and back -- is not something I'd turn down. I mean, it's only two miles each way. Might be a bit on the windy side, though. Might spoil my hairdo! Who cares? Rhaid i mi wneud hwn! Gotta do it!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please help. You can donate right now, and it only takes a minute.

Thanks very much. Diolch yn fawr iawn.
