<p>&nbsp;<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Update: 12 April 2012</span></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;</span><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 14pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt;">Ellie&rsquo;s Walk Wednesday 11 April 2012</span></span></strong></p> <span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"> <p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">A great start to the day with Rachel from Dogs Trust coming to the house to wave Ellie, Ian and Daisy off on their walk.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Leaving home just after 9.30am on route to Myddle.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Lots of friends out in Myddle to cheer Ellie on her way.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Then the walk continues through Lower Road Woods, a particular favourite of Daisy&rsquo;s, to Harmer Hill.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">A good break in the carpark of The Bridgewater Pub at Harmer Hill with Ben and Donna.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>After hot chocolate its best foot forward to Hadnell via Shotton Lane for Ellie and Ian.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Daisy jumps in the car and goes home for the middle third of the walk.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">The heavens open just as the walkers arrive in Hadnall, an ideal time to buy some treats in the Hadnall village shop.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Thankfully the heavy rain passes.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Ellie and Ian then head towards Astley for the lunch stop.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>They meet with Ben, Donna &amp; Wendy for lunch in the grounds of Astley Church.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>A well deserved rest for Ellie wrapped up in the picnic blanket!</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">The final leg of the walk starts after lunch and Daisy rejoins the walkers.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>Dogs Trust here they come! I am&nbsp;aiming to raise money for the charity Dogs Trust.</p> <p>Its my first big walk and its a distance of 11.5 miles using roads and fields.&nbsp; You can see my route on the link at the bottom of my story.</p> <p>I am going to be walking with my dog Daisy and my Dad. My Mum and brother Ben will be supporting along the way!!</p> <p>We got Daisy from Dogs Trust last August.&nbsp;&nbsp;She is our first family pet and we absolutely love her.&nbsp; She is a timid&nbsp;5 year old brindle boxer and we are the first family she has lived with.
