<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">A great start to the day with Rachel from Dogs Trust coming to the house to wave Ellie, Ian and Daisy off on their walk.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Leaving home just after 9.30am on route to Myddle.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Lots of friends out in Myddle to cheer Ellie on her way.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Then the walk continues through Lower Road Woods, a particular favourite of Daisy’s, to Harmer Hill.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">A good break in the carpark of The Bridgewater Pub at Harmer Hill with Ben and Donna.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>After hot chocolate its best foot forward to Hadnell via Shotton Lane for Ellie and Ian.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Daisy jumps in the car and goes home for the middle third of the walk.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">The heavens open just as the walkers arrive in Hadnall, an ideal time to buy some treats in the Hadnall village shop.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Thankfully the heavy rain passes.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Ellie and Ian then head towards Astley for the lunch stop.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>They meet with Ben, Donna & Wendy for lunch in the grounds of Astley Church.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>A well deserved rest for Ellie wrapped up in the picnic blanket!</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">The final leg of the walk starts after lunch and Daisy rejoins the walkers.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Dogs Trust here they come! The walkers follow signs for Haughmond Abbey crossing over the A53.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">A fantastic surprise is waiting for Ellie as they reach the B5062 Roden Lane.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Ellie’s own escort for the last mile, it’s the huge Dogs Trust “Dog Mobile.”<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Friends, family and the Dogs Trust team are all assembled in the carpark awaiting Ellie’s arrival.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>A jubilant Ellie, with Ian and Daisy, strides into the carpark just before 3.45pm to the cheers of those gathered.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Ellie walked through the finishing ribbon at 3.45pm and was warmly greeted by Louise, Dogs Trust Manager, with rosettes and a foil blanket!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Ellie did it!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>She was so focused and determined all day, we knew she was going to achieve her goal.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Ellie’s walking time was 5 hours and 5 minutes.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">We are so incredibly proud of Ellie and her achievement and we are so grateful to all the people, lots who do not even know Ellie, for sponsoring her walk.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>This is without a doubt Ellie’s first major achievement at the age of 7.</span></p>

<p>On Wednesday 11th April 2012 I am going to do a sponsored walk from my home in Marton near Shrewsbury to the Dogs Trust Roden, Telford. I am aiming to raise money for the charity Dogs Trust.</p>
<p>Its my first big walk and its a distance of 11.5 miles using roads and fields. You can see my route on the link at the bottom of my story.</p>
<p>I am going to be walking with my dog Daisy and my Dad. My Mum and brother Ben will be supporting along the way!!</p>
<p>We got Daisy from Dogs Trust last August. She is our first family pet and we absolutely love her. She is a timid 5 year old brindle boxer and we are the first family she has lived with. We give her lots of love and time. </p>
<p>Thousands of dogs all over the country need a good home. Please have a look at their website to see how your donation can make a difference to a dogs life whilst it is waiting for a new family.</p>
<p>I am 7 years of age and training at the weekends with my family to prepare me for my big challenge. Please donate as much as you can knowing I am really doing my best for the dogs at Dogs Trust.</p>
