Story

Thank you for visiting my page.

I have entered to run in the Hertfordshire Riverside Half Marathon on the 20th of October.

I am raising money for the Liver Transplant Unit at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, London.

September 2019

Thanks so much for all of the donations so far, the family are overwhelmed with the level of support.

It gives me the greatest pleasure to say that my mum (Robbi) earlier this week received the Liver Transplant she needed. We were all very excited to hear this news but also concerned given the seriousness of the operation.

We are however pleased to report that the operation went well and my mum is recovering in the Royal Free hospital. It’s a long recovery but she is doing as well as possible and we are so so proud of her!

Of course, this will not stop my fundraising efforts. Although we are over the moon that my mum received the transplant, there are and will always be people that still require support from the Liver Transplant Unit.

My mum has experienced as she has put it “winning the lottery”, however there are many more lotteries that still need to be won.

August 2019

You may have heard that my mum (Robbi) has recently been diagnosed with an acute illness resulting in her needing a liver transplant urgently.

Our lives have been turned upside down on learning about the diagnosis. My mum, being the amazing person she is, has dealt with the shock with dignity, grace, and a huge amount of strength. As a family, we have witnessed her incredible resilience and determination throughout this on-going process. She is a true inspiration and we are so proud of her!

The staff at the Liver Transplant Unit at The Royal Free Hospital has been absolutely amazing and I have decided to raise funds in support of their brilliant work.

My 13.1 mile run will be tough but it’s nothing compared to the fight my mum is currently going through. With your kind support, I am determined to complete my run and I shall be praying for my mum’s speedy recovery every step of the way.

Please dig deep (really, really deep) and donate. This will help keep me motivated as I run up and down the streets of Mill Hill Broadway.

Lastly, if anybody would like to support me on the day, I have banners to hold from the Royal Free and overly sugary sweets to distribute to the runners (mainly for me please!)
