Hey guys, in recent times someone very close to me has had their life improved infinitely with the help of several organisations/charities/family/friends. When I asked them which charity helped them most they said ‘Arch opened a lot of doors for me’ and this was at a time when many doors may have seen/been closed for them. I’ve seen first hand how this charity has completely given someone a new lease of life and it would bring me endless joy to somehow giveback and help them continue doing this magic they do. This is why for my birthday I am asking for any money potentially spent on birthday drinks (which i'm sure I won’t need any more of on the day anyway) to be diverted away from me and given to this amazing charity. I would also like to state this isn't just a diversion of drinking money and that any donation of any size will be hugely appreciated.

If you’re flat broke that’s fine and I completely understand if you can’t donate. But if a smallish group of people each gave 50p then that would pay for an hours wage of one of their workers, which could be all it takes to change someones life as an example (on my assumption that they do not work voluntarily etc.).

If you can only spare a small amount that's more than fine and whilst you might feel some completely unwarranted embarrassment or something you shouldn’t, then just give anonymously and the donation will be as appreciated as much as any other!

Arch is a local charity in north Staffordshire (link below for full info) and they work to prevent and tackle domestic abuse, help end homelessness and promote social inclusion. They deal with victims and survivors of domestic abuse, people facing homelessness, people with mental health difficulties, people who are socially excluded and people with complex needs. Even aside from the person who I am dedicating this fundraiser to, I think we can all agree that at least one of the aforementioned difficulties has likely touched each of our lives in some manner or other.
