18 year old Gift Nameta is one of the stars of Smile Malawi and has lived with us at the children's home for over 10 years as he has no family whatsoever. He was prominent in the film 'Haven' which you hopefully saw and wrote the poem that starts the film. He is seriously ill in hospital after he started experiencing regular seizures on Monday morning. This may be linked to his previous injury in December but we are not sure yet. He is having expert care and attention but the prognosis is still unknown.

Please can you help us with the cost of his treatment? At the moment we do not know what the final bill will be but ICU costs £500 for 2 days and the scans he needs are £000's on top of the hospital bill. I'm estimating a total in the region of £3000 but that may go up depending on what happens next. We really need your help as the charity just doesn't have the funds available and we need to give him all the help we can to get him home and well again.
