Story

I am long over due a haircut so I thought I would get one to last me a life time!

For over 2 years now I have told my friends and family I'm going to shave my head and this month the procrastination is coming to an end. I first thought about shaving my head during Movember 2019 after failing to grow a mustache but still wanting a way to encourage some giving. My long hair has been my identifier nearly all my life (I had to grow some first) and it is a little scary and exhilarating to think of life without it.

My plan is to cut and donate my hair to The Little Princess Trust.
They provide real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other conditions. I would love to share the joy of my long hair with someone who has lost theirs.

As well as donating my hair I would like to raise some money for Willen Hospice, an adult care Hospice in Milton Keynes. Willen Hospice gives compassionate, personal care to people living with life-limiting illnesses at their Hospice and in people homes. When my Auntie was receiving treatment for her cancer they called her weekly to help her deal with the physical and emotional effects of both her illness and treatments. Since she passed away in September 2019 I have wanted to do something in memory of her and so raising some money for Willen Hospice would be amazing!

I am planning to become an egg head and shave my head February 19th!

Thank you for any donations <3
