Story

On Sunday the 13th of September me and my family will be running the Great North Run to raise money for Hinchingbrooke hospital critical care unit.

We have decided to raise money for Hinchingrooke CCU as last Christmas I fell seriously ill with pneumonia and was admitted to Hinchingbrooke hospital. I spent a total of 4 weeks in critical care, where I was intubated and placed in a medically induced coma for 11 days. Eventually I was woken on Christmas day but was unable to walk, talk or breathe for myself.

Thanks to the incredible level of care provided by the outstanding people who work in Hinchingbrooke critical care I made a full recovery, and a year and a half later me and my family are going to run 13.1 miles to help CCU continue saving lives like mine.

The care provided to me and my family was faultless, and this money will go towards ensuring that other families in the same position will receive the same level of care and compassion that we did.

If you would like to help us in raising money any donations would be absolutely amazing, no matter how small.

Thank you.
