Story
Hi I'm Emily and I'm hoping to fundraise £800 for International Service to support the work they do with grassroots organisations in Palestine.
Who are International Service?
If you didn't already know, International Service is a well-established international development charity who send volunteers and support to local projects aiming to protect and promote the rights of marginalised people in Latin America, West Africa and the Middle East.
Their goal is to support people to understand their rights and put them into action through long-term projects and initiatives. This usually involves focusing on women, disabled people, children, young people and people living with HIV and AIDS, as well as others.

Why am I fundraising?
I have been offered the opportunity to go to Palestine for three months in January 2014, as a volunteer for International Service. I am going as part of the International Citizen Service programme (ICS) to work on one of their projects there, which I am extremely excited about!
To help contribute further to the programme and charity, I am hoping to raise money through a variety of different events.
What have I done so far?
As part of this, I cycled the Manchester 100km on 1st September 2013. I completed it in just over 6 hours - definitely a (first and only) personal best! Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored me to do this!
I am also holding a pub quiz night on 16th November at a local church hall, please email me at emily.rose94@hotmail.co.uk for details.
Please donate!
If you are unable to come to my event, any online donations are greatly appreciated! £1, £2, £5, 50p.. any amount would be amazing! Thank you for your support.
