Amongst their charity focus' Transaid help enable women, children, and men in rural communities to reach vital services when they are in need. They help people living in rural areas of Africa who often struggle to access vital services. Around 75% of maternal deaths can be avoided through timely access to vital childbirth-related care (Source: The World Bank). Their work includes an Emergency Transport Scheme to transport pregnant mothers with complications. We also help community health workers reach the families who need them, much of this is on poor roads and basic travel modes like bicycles!

Mat and Emily both work for HOYER Gas & Petroleum Logistics Ltd who have supported Transaid with driver training resource in recent years and have first hand of the difference the support given by Transaid and associated Companies make.
