Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGivingPage
Early 2017 Finley was diagnosed with autism and like many families we knew very little about this disability. As a family we are trying to raise more awareness to help autistic people.
We have set this page up to help fund raise for the National Autistic Society’s ‘All Aboard for Autism’ walk on the 29th September at Drayton Manor Park.
A little insight into autism...
Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how people perceive the world and interact with others.
Autistic people see, hear and feel the world differently to other people. If you are autistic, you are autistic for life; autism is not an illness or a disease and cannot be cured!
For my Finley autism means not being able to talk, struggling to communicate his wants and needs. Not being able to play with his sister or peers. Getting very distressed over normal everyday things such as getting dressed, walking in public or visiting places like supermarkets. This is just a small insight into the daily struggle Finley faces.
Watching your child living with a disability that people may not understand or accept is heartbreaking, so donating to this page will truly help The National Autistic Society support people like Finley and further the awareness and acceptance of autism.
