B3P exists to promote the formation of an internationally-recognised trans-national Peace Park straddling the borders of Montenegro, Kosova and Albania. In pursuance of this objective, it runs training courses and English language summer schools and supports local sustainable development.

Story

Hi! Basically, I am abseiling down a 10 story building at Leeds Beckett city campus (you know, the really tall one) so that I can earn some much needed funds for a very small, very fantastic charity called B3P, or 'Balkans Peace Park Project'.

B3P helps to unite local communities in the valleys of northern Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro, in order to promote peace across the three countries, protect their fragile environment, stimulate local employment and promote sustainable visitor activities in the region.

This summer, a team of us will be heading to Lepushe in the Albanian Alps to work closely with B3P, doing some research into tourism development with local residents, and in particular supporting B3P's annual summer programme which provides local children from across the region with lessons in English, Environmental studies, and sports coaching.

All money raised will go directly to the Balkans Peace Park project, so they can continue to run this important summer programme in the future!

Thank you in advance for any donations!
