According to a study by Scope, two thirds (67%) of the British public feels uncomfortable talking to disabled people.
That has to change.
NANSA is a charity that was established 61 years ago by the families of children with cerebral palsy to offer support and services in a time where little was known about disability and knowledge and support was thin on the ground. NANSA has evolved into a core service provider for people with disabilities of all ages across Norfolk.
Their sensory classes for pre school children help children explore different textures and materials in a safe and supportive environment that make their surroundings a little less daunting and scary, in a world that tends to have preconceptions and prejudice against a lot of disabilities.
They have training venues across Norwich that provide work experience and accredited gateway qualifications to progress and gain inclusion and independence in society.
I would LOVE to raise awareness about this fantastic charity and raise money to go towards the many fantastic services that they provide!
If you can help me achieve this in any way I will be so grateful, anything that you can give no matter how small would just be incredible!
Thank you!
By the way it's just me doing the skydive - Ruby will not be jumping!!
