The Ascension Eagles Cheerleaders are a charity based in Newham East London, dedicated to transforming the lives of young people through cheerleading. AEC’s mission is to inspire young people to reach their full potential, while providing the highest level of training and academic support.

Story

I am planning on running the Spartan Race on November 18 2012 to raise money for the Ascension Eagles Cheerleaders.  The Spartan race is a 12 mile Obstacle Race from Hell.  Please click link provided so you can see what I mean: Spartan Race Video For further information please visit the Spartan Race website.

I have decided to do this to help raise money for one of my favourite charities -- the Ascension Eagles Cheerleaders (AEC).  AEC began in November 1996 as an outreach of Ascension Church Centre, Custom House, Newham. Initially, AEC started as a way to keep youth off the streets & engaged in an activity that promotes fitness & social interaction. Over the past decade, AEC has been recognized as 1 of the UK’s most successful youth programs, as well as Britain’s best all-round cheer program. AEC aims to transform and inspire young people to reach their full potential, while providing the highest level of training, coaching and community development work. AEC makes a difference in the lives of young people so they can make a difference to others in their community and in the world.
