Thames Path Challenge 2019 · 7 September 2019 to 8 September 2019 ·

We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

Story

My name is Emma and I have a story to tell. You’ll have to wait for the book and the film for the whole story 😀 but in brief I live with an illness called Bipolar disorder.

At times I’ve been happy, irritable, anxious and without sleep for weeks. Other times I’ve wanted to leave the world by any means possible. I don’t though because I take my medication, I see a therapist but most of all I live for my wonderful little boy.

Bipolar disorder doesn’t define me, it’s just a part of me and I’m not ashamed to have it. I’m very fortunate to be able to live with this illness as some people find it all too much. This is why I want to raise as much money as possible to support other people suffering with a mental illness and also raise awareness.

I’ve never walked this far in one go before but once I put my mind to something I don’t give up. Please, please support me in this challenge by donating what you can. It will mean the world to me to have your backing in this task.

Lots of love, Emma xxx
