World Autism Awareness Week 2020 · 30 March 2020 to 4 May 2020 ·

The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

On Sunday 29th March 2020 I will be taking part running the Sheffield half marathon.

I’m doing this to raise money for a charity close to my heart, which is the National Autistic Society.

They are the UK’s leading charity for Autistic people and their families, their goal is to help transform lives, change attitudes and create a society thar works for autistic people.

Last year on the 2nd April 2019 (world autism day) my son Charlie was diagnosed of having autism spectrum disorder.  After of over a year of assessments, doctors appointments and waiting it was good in one way to finally get a diagnosis but on the other hand heartbreaking.

However, Ive leaned a lot since then about autism and how to help my son and I continually learn every day of things that help him learn, communicate, and what his needs are, as every day is different with a child with special needs.  Challenging but rewarding.

I would like to raise money for this charity and raise awareness for world autism week which will be 30th March to 5th April.

Any donation would contribute towards supporting autistic people and their families.

Please donate to this fantastic cause.
