EMMA'S CRAZY MARATHON TOUR...

Team: Remembering Roger Buxton
Over a year a go I embarked on the challenge of running the London marathon, however, unfortunately after 5 months of training with just 8 weeks to go before running it, I had to pull out when I found out I had been running on a fractured leg! After surgery, a re-fractured leg, crutches for 6 weeks and 3 months of not running I have been given the go ahead by my physio to start running again, yippee! So what better way to get back on the horse...to sign up for 2 x marathons!
I was given my ballot place on the London Marathon on the first day of my physio (sods law!) and I have stupidly signed up for a half marathon with 6 week's to train with my work colleagues. So all in all, I have 6 weeks to train for a light 13 mile jog in Paris and a further 6 weeks to train for a casual 26.4 mile run around London...piece of cake!
The real reason I am being this stupid, is because Help the Hospices is a charity very close to my heart as our local hospice in Colchester supported both my dad through his cancer and my whole family after he died 13 years ago. My equally crazy sister, Frankie, is running it with me, so please help us reach our goal of raising £4,000 for the charity!
We are running for all those people that have been helped by a hospice and all those people in the future that need to be helped, and we would love it if you could all help us reach our target and raise the money!!
