With my husband Tim I'm running the Liverpool Marathon on Sunday 14th November for Make-A-Wish Foundation UK.

As I’m lucky enough to work for Make-A-Wish, every day I get to see the massive impact and often life-changing happiness a wish can bring to such deserving children and their families. If we’ve found training for this marathon a challenge, it’s absolutely nothing compared to the challenges faced by our wish children on a daily basis.

I’m also running to acknowledge and thank all our amazing volunteers, who give so much of their precious time wish visiting and raising funds. Shockingly, one of our most committed volunteers, Simon Cross, has recently discovered that his 11 year-old daughter, Hannah, has cancer. Her extraordinary bravery and Simon’s unstinting support has moved us all very deeply. It simply reinforces that serious illness doesn’t discriminate against the good.

So please donate as little or as much as you can afford – Justgiving will process any amount from £2.50… that’s less than a beer! Please give if you can.
