Emma's Leeds Half Marathon 2015 for Safe Haven

Leeds Half Marathon 2015 · 10 May 2015 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I have never run a half marathon before and I was inspired to challenge myself after some of my friends ran the 2014 Leeds Half for charity. I am up for the challenge and I am training hard to smash my fundraising target!
I have chosen to raise money for Safe Haven because it is a small local charity based in Yeadon, Leeds which helps local families in all kinds of desperate need. I became aware of Safe Haven as my children's school and our church (Guiseley Methodist Church) collected food for Safe Haven's food bank at their Harvest Festivals. I have visited Safe Haven's furniture warehouse and food bank. Tony, Leigh and the staff at Safe Haven are passionate about helping needy families and work tirelessly. They liaise with crisis and refuge centres across the region. They deliver furniture, white goods and food parcels to help build a safe haven in the lives of women and children, across West Yorkshire.
