When I was just 10 and stuck in school, some of the worst starvation events hit Ethiopia. At the time I remember feeling very frustrated that there was nothing I could do to help. 

So now I'm older and finally I might have the opportunity to go to Africa to do something really positive.

It may take some time to raise the money and to be accepted for the right placement but I'm hoping to be in Africa within the next 18 months. VSO have been putting volunteers into roles across the globe for many decades and I've already approached them about raising funds for my mission!
