Our work is delivered by young people, for young people, giving them the skills and resources to lead change.

Story

Dear friends and family,

On the 2nd June I will be travelling to Zimbabwe, where I will be working for 3 months with the charity, Restless Development. This charity focuses on youth-led development, aiming to make sure young people have a voice, a living, and sexual rights. I am going as part of the ICS programme, which is run by the UK government, and works with communities that have specifically requested their help.

In Zimbabwe I will be working with local communities to raise awareness of and promote sexual and reproductive health and rights. Restless Development also prioritises youth empowerment and increasing civic participation through education and improving employability.

In order to participate I need to raise £1,500 for Restless Development. I am hoping you will sponsor me to run (or crawl) the Edinburgh Half Marathon at the end of May.

Please note that my personal costs will be financed separately, and every penny donated will go towards the projects in Zimbabwe.

If you can spare anything - even a couple of pounds - it would be much appreciated.

To find out more about the project check out the Restless Development page http://restlessdevelopment.org or on Facebook www.facebook.com/RestlessDevelopmentZim or ask me any questions.

Thanks,

Emma
