Rainforest Trust UK protects threatened rainforests to save endangered species, safeguard indigenous communities & fight climate change. Our approach works: After nearly four decades, 98% of the forests in our reserves remain standing.

Story

I am aiming to run the Aber 10k in under an hour this year. I have only run 10k a handful of times, and NEVER in less than 1hr 04 mins.

I have a fairly unpleasant training programme which means exercising a minimum of 5 times a week, so I am not just asking for your money and then planning to rock up on the day and see what happens.

The Rainforest Trust works to protect the world’s most threatened species and ecosystems on the planet—in the tropical rainforests and beyond.

All the money I raise on this run will go towards saving the Rungan River Peat Swamp Project in Borneo. This precious forest is home to over 2,000 Critically Endangered Bornean Orangutans, which is 4% of the global population - and every donation you make will be QUADRUPLED by generous friends of Rainforest Trust. This means a donation of £10 would save 25 acres of this forest for Orangutans and other endangered species.
