Hair wig go · 22 February 2018

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

On 22nd February I shall be having my hair significantly chopped - in the hope it can be used to make wigs for children who are, devastantingly, suffering with cancer.

I have been growing my hair for just under 2 years in order to do this as little girls would like nothing better than to have long hair. Unfortunately during the wig making process approximately 4 inches of hair length is lost.

The real hair wigs the Little Princess Trust provide are free to the children they help. If the Little Princess Trust supply a wig made from hair donated by people like myself and others who may donate then it costs a lot less. If a suitable donated-hair wig cannot be sourced, then they are inclined to purchase the most appropriate wig for the little boy or girl in question, as close as possible to their original hair colour.

The cost to the charity to purchase one wig is on average between £350-£500.

ABSOLUTELY any amount of fundraising that I can generate towards this cost will help the Little Princess Trust to continue to provide wigs to children that will be so grateful for your donations.

I hope you could possibly donate, any amount will help a young child live a more normal life.

Thank you xx
