In February 2013 Neil was diagnosed with kidney cancer after an ultrasound found a large mass. Following a CT scan this mass was confirmed as a 14cm tumour. Within weeks Neil was under the knife having his kidney removed, a very intrusive, lengthy and difficult surgery. Knowing of people who had died of this disease it was an extremely emotional time, wondering what the future held. To this day there is no return of any cancer (Neil also had surgery in August 2013 to remove a mass - but this was not cancerous). We live a great life with our amazing girls and want to give a little back to a charity that is very close to our hearts.
