Story
Piran and Aaron wanted to find a way to raise money to help the Rainforests, so we’ve decided to tackle the Devon Coast 2 Coast cycleway, 100 miles in 3 days! This goes from Ilfracombe to Plymouth and if all goes according to plan we will be doing it from 18th-20th October. We’re taking Grandad Mick as well, obviously for his brains and brawn (as well as having someone they can beat will help keep the boys going 😂). At only 8 and 9 years old, this will be a big challenge for them but they’re very determined to do something that will make a difference. I asked both of the boys to write something for this page and here’s what they wrote:
“I think saving the rainforest is really important so that there will be more animals like monkeys, crocodiles, birds and insects. There are lots of beautiful animals in the world and it would be really sad for them to be extinct.” Aaron
“After our exciting trip to Costa Rica and an amazing topic at school I have seen how important and beautiful the wildlife of the rainforest on earth really are. I am passionate to save our rainforests and I want to be a conservationist when I grow up. Deforestation is having a massive effect on climate change and global warming which will lead to polar melting and loss of coral reefs. Poachers are illegally slaughtering animals which is very sad and also damages the ecosystems in the rainforests.” Piran
Please help them reach their target!
