Story
In the midst of starting a new job, something possessed me to agree to running a half marathon (help). If you know me well, you'll know my idea of exercise is the walk to the fridge, but I couldn't think of a better cause for my pain.
One in four people will suffer from some form of a mental health condition in their life. Mental Health Concern provides life-changing support to improve the mental health and wellbeing of people who are suffering. With continued cuts to public spending and an increasing demand on mental health services, your donation will go even further in helping these people. I'm privileged every day to witness the vital work of this organisation, so I am aware of just how much your donation (no matter how small) will be appreciated. In the past, donations have helped create a dementia sensory garden, a potting shed at one of our older people's services and, most recently, Rose Cottage (a 1940s style room, helping dementia patients to reminisce).
If that doesn't convince you, the photos of me on the floor after running THIRTEEN MILES, will 100% be worth the pennies in your pocket.
