The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

A while ago it became clear that my nephew Felix has an autistic spectrum disorder. My sister, her husband and their family have been supported wonderfully by this charity locally. But as he grows up and the demands of this disorder change more support is always needed. Felix is a fun, happy, wonderful child and this is just one part of who he is.

This is a life long condition and those with autism need the help and support of volunteers to reach their potential and manage their condition.

And we all know I have a bit of a love for dangerous and crazy things. I've always wanted to do a parachute jump and it seemed sensible that if I was ever going to do this rather reckless thing of flinging myself out of plane I should do it for a good cause. So on Sunday 30th May 2010  I will be willingly throwing myself out of a plane for autism.
