OUR MISSION is to increase global awareness of encephalitis, saving lives and building better futures.

Joe fell ill on 17th December 2016 and a few days later he was diagnosed with encephalitis. He became critically unwell ended up being ventilated and flown down to Edinburgh sick kids ITU.  We spent a total of 3 weeks in hospital over Christmas and new year. 

Joe has made a remarkable recovery with no life limiting problems and he returned to his sports and school within a few weeks. 

The society provided us with lots of information when joe was ill so we would like to raise some funds to help the society continue their work.
